X5 is an Alabama based podcast that showcases comedy, musicians/musical acts, content creators, and everything interesting going on in and around the Yellowhammer state.
Each episode brings its own whacky style of humor and enlightenment to the audience. You never really know what to expect with this island of misfit toys cast. It is what creates all the “on the edge of your seat” moments people have come to love about this show.
MEET THE X5 CAST
X5’s Ringleader is Charlie Reece. With a face only his mother could love and the voice of reason on this cast, Charlie has put together a crew of co–host that could only be seen on the FBI’s most wanted list. Charlie’s claimed to fame came back in the early 90’s when he was the owner/operator of a Birmingham based exotic male strip club called The Manhole on Main. As faith would have it this is also where Charlie would meet our next co–host.
You probably know the next co–host from his stint in the wildly popular Birmingham based band Downstroke. If not you can catch him dancing most Friday nights downtown at Club Toolbox. He was also a fan favorite at The Manhole on Main, Mr. shirtless Bert Wallace. You know him, you love him from The Rick & Bubba show. He currently host the 95.1 FM The Rocket The Jimbo and Casio Show. He was favored to take the gold in Pole Vaulting in the 1984 Olympic Games. Unfortunately a serious earlobe injury halted his journey. He is The Overweight Lover, The Casio Kid.
Ever hear of the band Lynam? Yeah, neither has anyone else. His dark secret is he is the love child of international supermodel Iman and the late great British rocker, David Bowie. From the big city of Trussville, AL its the semi–famous co–host the one and the only David Lynam.
From 1997 to 2002 this guy was a writer and co- producer of the popular South American game show Sloppy Seconds. He graduated from college in 2004. After that he went on to be the voice and face for the school’s infomercials. This is probably why the school closed for good in 2017. The co–host who likes toast Jeff C Allen. After years of mild successes running a chain of Karate dojos this co–host hails from the foothills of everywhere. He’s most notably know for standing on the side of the interstate holding a sign that says “Free Ass Whoopins“. A man of few words and even fewer brain cells, co–host Cobra Mic.
With a group of hosts like these no wonder X5 Podcast is continuing to grow in popularity. This crew’s no nonsense approach to the content they showcase is something you won’t see anywhere else. Be sure to stick around to see what they have up their sleeves in the future. New episodes air every Wednesday morning on all podcast platforms.
