George Willborn

George Vernon Willborn II (January 8) is a Chicago native who got his big break as the house MC at All Jokes Aside in 1992; which was Chicago’s first primarily African American comedy club. He shared the stage with and befriended comedy greats like Jamie Foxx, Bernie Mac and Steve Harvey, just to name a few. George’s overwhelming success at All Jokes Aside propelled him into many television opportunities, such as: Def Comedy Jam, BET’s Comic View, Showtime at the Apollo, Comedy Central and TV One. After many years of ripping the stage and providing comedic relief, fans across the country dubbed George as “The Stress Reliever”! George has gone on to perform on many comedy tours, national stage plays and currently, a plethora of Funny Bones and Improvs nationwide. In 2015, George landed a supporting role in Spike Lee’s “Chi-raq”

Christopher Titus

Christopher Titus is a prolific stand-up comedian, writer, actor, and producer. As a creator, he has sold shows to NBC, ABC, FOX and Comedy Central. His wildly innovative multi-cam half hour Titus premiered to critical and audience acclaim on Fox, earning the show an Emmy nomination, while Titus himself received a WGA Award nomination for his writing. Following Titus, Christopher starred in ABC’s Big Shots, acting opposite Dylan McDermott, Michael Vartan and Josh Malina. He also starred in the NBC one-hour pilot, Future Tense and created and starred in the Bryan Cranston-directed pilot, Special Unit for Comedy Central. And he recently wrote, directed, and starred in a feature version of Special Unit which won the L.A. Film Award for Best Comedy Feature and the Hope Film Awards jury prize for Best Director.Christopher has written and starred in eight 90-minute comedy specials, with several spending months on the Billboard Top 10 comedy chart. His eighth special Amerigeddon is available on Amazon. He recently shot his ninth special Zero Side Effects and is currently touring his next special, Carrying Monsters, a bookend companion piece to Norman Rockwell is Bleeding (his very first show and the source material for the Fox series). After winning the 2012 national Miller Lite Stand-Up comedy competition judged by Kevin Hart, comedian/writer LaVar Walker joined The Shaquille O’Neal All Star Comedy Jam, touring 42 markets and taping a Showtime special as well. In addition to this, he was a finalist for the NBC Diversity Showcase and advanced to the semifinals in NBC’s Last Comic Standing. His other credits include BET’s Comicview, The Mo’Nique Show, and Kevin Hart’s comedy special on the Laugh Out Loud network. On the scripted front, he produced/ played the lead in the comedy project, The Pharmacist, and can recently be seen as ‘Marty the Manager’ in the Summit Entertainment Feature Film, Uncle Drew. Walker was born on the southside of Chicago and earned a doctoral degree in pharmacy from Xavier University in New Orleans. Despite his string of successes and growing popularity, LaVar remains humble. He told the Chicago Sun-Times that he just wants to be happy in what he is doing. “To be honest with you, I just want to be happy doing what I do and make a great living doing it. Does that sound crazy? If you get right down to it,” he says, “looking back on everything I’ve done to this point, I think I made it. I’m the biggest star in the world to me.” Sun-Times reporter Mike Thomas called this attitude: “Pretty sane actually.”

Daryl Chill MItchell – What Had Happened Was Tour

Daryl Chill Mitchell first came to public attention as a member of the three-man rap group Groove B. Chill. The first appeared in the feature film “House Party” in 1990, where Mitchell had the opportunity to work alongside Martin Lawrence,Tisha Campbell and other prominent actors. He found the experience so enjoyable that he decided to turn his focus from music to a full-time acting career. In November 2001, Mitchell was sidelined by a motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down; however, it never halted his forward momentum. Once he was in control of his wheelchair, Mitchell went back to work and signed on as a series regular for the role of Eli on the series “Ed,” a role which became the basis for the pilot titled “Eli.” Eli’s character gave Mitchell one of his favorite phrases, “Roll or fold,” which encompasses his take on life.

Mike shares his experience on taking the leap into comedy and growing his career while balancing being a father and husband to guest Alisha Shoates James. He has worked with some of the biggest names in comedy including Kevin Hart, Loni Love, Ralphie May, Rosie O’Donnell, Earthquake and Charlie Murphy. After year of COVID, Mike is back on stage at his home club Zanies Nashville, making crowds laugh around the country and sharing his unique journey with us.
